On Monday, August 21, 2017, a total solar eclipse will sweep across the entire nation for the first time in 99 years. Starting from Oregon to South Carolina, 14 states will experience more than two minutes of totality including the state of Kansas.
The path of totality will be slicing through the northeast corner of Kansas and observers in Kansas City, KS will experience 23 seconds of darkness. Partial phase will begin at approximately 11:41 AM with totality starting at approximately 1:08 PM. Listed below are viewing parties and events happening in Kansas City, KS on Monday, August 21.

Hotels: All guests checking in at a Kansas City, KS hotel on Sunday, August 20th will receive a complimentary commemorative certified solar eclipse glasses.
