Newsletter Feature from Chuck – March 6, 2017

Good day. We hope you and yours are well and that neighborhood and business plans are progressing well.

This early March edition of our newsletter highlights our In-the-Know Luncheon series, best practice hiring guidelines, and Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District request for proposals.

Our own Dave Reno will present on “Social Media Marketing 101,” Friday, March 10. Dave has not only done an excellent job of placing DTSKCK on different platforms but also extending our reach to people accessing and clicking-through those platforms. In this case, clicks equal eyes on your information, and that can mean additional revenues or more folks aware and involved in your programs.

Cost is $10 for Nick’s pizza and salad. The luncheon, at the KCK Chamber office, begins at 11:30 with the program starting around noon. Please RSVP to Director@nullDowntownkck.org or call (913) 371-0705. Registration & prepayment via PayPal is also available here.

Needing to hire after increasing your outreach or marketing? Below find a link for information on potential employees. Best practices exist that involve 5 essential elements for fair hiring when considering someone who may reveal they have a criminal record. We understand they are a significant, eager, and available labor pool and employment is a critical factor in reducing recidivism, which also means a reduction in crime.

As the manager of the Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District in Downtown Kansas City, Kansas, we are publishing a request for proposals for security and cleaning services. Please find the RFP by clicking here.

Come be with us next Friday for good food and information. Downtown KCK continues to be the place to be. Come be a part of everyone’s Downtown.
