WHF Announces $1,213,782 in Primary Care grants

Wyandotte County Health FoundationThe Wyandotte Health Foundation (WHF) has awarded 11 local nonprofit and public agencies a total of $1,213,782 in its Primary Care grant cycle. “Wyandotte County’s primary care safety net clinics address a critical need for our residents who are uninsured and low-income.  Although the Enroll Wyandotte effort has accomplished much in getting people enrolled in affordable health insurance plans through the Health Insurance Marketplace, since Kansas has not yet expanded Medicaid there are still thousands of hard working residents that have no access to coverage,” said Cathy Harding, President & CEO.  “Our safety net clinics ensure lack of insurance coverage does not mean lack of health care.”
