Book Selection:  Rhino Ranch by Larry McMurtry.  Rhino Ranch is the final book in a series by McMurtry.  It is not necessary to have read the preceding books to participate in the discussion. If interested in getting acquainted with the series prior to the discussion, you may consider reading The Last Picture Show or seeing the movie with the same title.

Books can be checked out at the first-floor circulation desk at the KCK Main Library for the upcoming book to be discussed. In most instances, the books are also available in area metro libraries. For questions about the books at Main, contact Laura Loveless at llove@kckpl.org or (913) 295-8250 ext. 1030.

The group uses both fiction and nonfiction titles to discuss transition topics for persons ages 50+ who have left or will soon be leaving their primary careers. Contact Cris Siebenlist at cpigsfly@gmail.com or Karen Hostetler at karenh@sckck.org with questions about the group. Everyone is welcome, whether for a particular book discussion or on an ongoing basis.
