2017 Small Business Week Webinars Bring Business Learning to Everyone
From Wayne Bell, Acting Region 7 Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administration: Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.
As part of National Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from all 50 states and U.S. territories. Every day, they’re working to grow small businesses, create 21st-century jobs, drive innovation, and increase America’s global competitiveness. Many small business owners, however, do not know that there are learning opportunities throughout the week which they can access remotely on their computers or phones.
This year SBA will offer free webinars sponsored by SBA corporate partners on a variety of subjects beginning May 2. On that date, Visa will present “The U.S. Economic Outlook and Its Impact on Small Businesses.” YP present “5 Fabulous Habits of Local Business Champions” on May 3. On May 4, Constant Contact will teach you “How to Write Your Email Content in 15 Minutes or Less” and Chase will give tips on how to “Find the Hidden Money in America.”
Registration for the SBA Small Business Week webinars is now open and can be accessed at https://www.sba.gov/nsbw/webinars. We at SBA hope you will find time to treat yourself to some business learning during Small Business Week 2017.
