Parks and Recreation Named Finalist for Program Grant
Scotts® and Major League Baseball are pleased to announce that Unified Government of Wyandotte County Parks and Recreation has been named a finalist for a Scotts Field Refurbishment Program grant. After receiving more than 350 submissions across 43 states and Washington, DC., Unified Government of Wyandotte County Parks and Recreation is among four organizations that were selected to move forward to the online fan vote, which will launch in March 2018. The organization that receives the highest number of votes will be named the final recipient of a Scotts Field Refurbishment Program grant, joining the four organizations that were named as award grantees by the Blue Ribbon Panel.
As a reminder, all Scotts Field Refurbishment Program grant recipients will receive a grant of products and services (including infield sod) with a value up to $50,000, an equipment package, and we will celebrate the opening of the renovated field with a ribbon-cutting and Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation youth clinic. Please see next steps below.
