BHC RHODES Announces Changes in Services Leadership

BHC RHODES announces two internal changes in services leadership. Mr. Randy Gorton, P.E. a  16-year veteran with BHC RHODES was promoted to Public Works Services Group Leader, and Mr. Mark Sherfy, P.E. PTOE, was promoted to Vice President and transitioned over to Development Services Group Leader.

Sherfy joined BHC RHODES in 2016 from the City of Shawnee, Kansas where he was the Deputy Public Works Director. His ability to lead people and his expertise in streamlining processes transferred well to BHC RHODES where he increased public works revenue by 25% over two years. His success combined with his history of working for a municipality enhances the development services group with a better understanding of the approval process within municipalities for commercial development projects.

During Gorton’s tenure with the company, he has managed numerous projects which have greatly impacted the metro area, including the award-winning revitalization of downtown Grandview, Missouri. Gorton has been a key part of growing the public works segment by building long-term relationships with county and city public works leadership. “Randy has become an integral part of our City team in planning and developing our community through the relationships and trust he has built with our staff, elected officials, boards and commissions, and the citizens,” Michael Webb, Edwardsville, Kansas City Manager.
