Taking Care of Our Investment
Water Pollution Control (WPC) received a letter from one of its important partners to recognize how well staff is doing to extend the life of some very expensive equipment. In the Public Works world, it is critical that the equipment is maintained well and on the ready for urgent or emergency work, and this report shows that the WPC team is taking great care of the equipment.
WPC Recognized Recognized with Compliance Rating
Water Pollution Control received Gold and Silver Peak Performance Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) for calendar year 2017. For all stations in 2017, WPC had a 99% compliance rating.
New Street Resurfacing Project
The Engineering Division is set to begin work within the next few weeks on the 2018 Neighborhood Street Resurfacing Projects. These projects consist of the sites that were approved by the Commissioners earlier this Spring. Work included in these projects will be the removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, removal and replacement of ADA Ramps, and the mill and overlay of the street pavement. Anticipated completion is by the middle of November.
