ArtPlace America Grant Workshop in KCMO on October 2
If you're interested in learning more about ArtPlace America and the organization's National Grants Program, mark your calendar for October 2, when ArtPlace America arrives in Kansas City for one day only. The workshop will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Mid-America Regional Council Conference Center (600 Broadway, Suite 200, Kansas City, Mo.) The National Grants Program invests in community development projects that leverage arts and culture for place-based change. This workshop is an ideal opportunity to not only learn more about the program, but also what makes for a competitive grant application, thereby increasing your chances of success.
The next open call for projects will be made in early January 2016. Anyone is eligible to apply, and grants typically range from $50,000 to $500,000.
The free grant workshop is hosted by ArtsKC, the Federal Reserve Bank, LISC, MARC and the Office of Culture and Creative Services of Kansas City, Missouri. Workshop seating is limited, so please RSVP by September 29 to reserve your spot. Email Lisa Elsas at lelsas[at]marc[dot]org.
