BPU-UG-USD500 Host Supplier Diversity Expo for Local Businesses
The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU), along with the Unified Government (UG) and the USD 500 School District (USD500) are hosting a Supplier Diversity Exposition for businesses on Thursday, September 28, 2017. The event will provide a free opportunity for minority or disadvantaged business owners to meet with representatives from these three organizations and showcase their products and services. This free event will allow Service Disabled Veterans (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Businesses (VOB), Minority-Owned Businesses (MBE), Woman Owned Business (WBE), and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) direct access to procurement officers and buyers from BPU, the UG, and USD 500, as well as 30 other public and private sector organizations. Other experts will also be on hand to assist entrepreneurs and proprietors with their certification process if needed.
The Supplier Diversity Expo will take place at the Kansas City, Kansas City Hall, 701 North 7th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66101 on Thursday, September 28th, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
