Celebrate 94 Days of Summer Fun in Kansas City, Kan.!

kaw point kckKansas City, Kan. is a city for all seasons, but there’s no doubt that the summer months are one of the best times to get out and explore all that KCK has to offer! Not sure where to start? Our friends at the Kansas City Kansas Convention & Visitors Bureau have done the work for you and created a summer fun checklist that you can use to guide your adventures. The checklist includes plenty of summer fun in #downtownKCK, and we thought we’d highlight a few of our favorites:

#7, Explore where Lewis & Clark camped at Kaw Point Riverfront Park. Grab your camera or phone for a beautiful shot of the river and the Kansas City, Mo. skyline.

#26, Hear the famous “Hi, may I help you?” at Gates BBQ. No matter what you order, don’t forget the fries—and plenty of Gates’ delicious sauce on the side!

#38, Feast at taquerias in downtown Kansas City, Kan. Whether you go to El Camino Real, Bonito Michoacan, El Pollo Alegre, Tortilleria San Antonio, El Pollo Rey, Ninfa’s Tortillas & Taqueria or discover another delicious find, make sure you bring your appetite!

#65, See the iconic Winkler’s Clock, a real working Seth Thomas Clock in downtown Kansas City, Kan. It did inspire our Downtown Shareholders logo, after all!

#78, Drink a cup of Snickerdoodle coffee from A Cup On The Hill. After all, any great summer adventure starts with a little caffeine!

There’s so much more to see and do! Print off a copy of the checklist and see if you can complete all 94 ideas by summer’s end. Don’t forget to tag your photos with #KCK94Days (and, when you’re downtown, feel free to also use #OurKCK) and we’ll live vicariously through your KCK summer vacation. Have fun!
