Kansas City Kansas Police Department Fall Citizens' Academy

The Kansas City Kansas Police Department’s Fall Citizens Academy is now accepting applications for the Fall 2017 class, (class # 41), beginning Wednesday, September 6, 2017, and ending Monday, October 24, 2017. The Citizens Police Academy classes are held twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) *, from 6 PM to 9 PM. The Citizens Police Academy is free to attend. Minimum age is 18 years of age. The Citizens Police Academy is held at the KCKPD Police Training Academy, 7340 State Ave (on the KCKCC campus).

The Citizens Academy classes are instructed by the men and women who work in their respective field such as Crime Scene Investigations, SWAT Unit, Bomb Squad, Police Gun Range and much more. By graduation time the citizens will leave with a better understanding of the police Organization and Operations.
