Job Alert: Healthy Communities Coordinator VISTA, HNMA & KC Healthy Kids

Our friends at the Historic Northeast-Midtown Association, in collaboration with KC Healthy Kids, seek applicants for a new AmeriCorps VISTA position.  The application period is 4/1/2017– 5/15/2017. This is a full-time position, requiring some college education. The position will support HNMA programming and administration. Member Duties: Develop and execute a standardized, plug-in newsletter format and quarterly schedule for e-mail and online dissemination. Procure stories from neighborhoods, government departments, local churches, and area businesses that are of value to Historic Northeast Midtown Association (HNMA) constituents. Recruit a volunteer to maintain the newsletter processes. Facilitate resident participation in healthy eating and active living (HEAL) initiatives. Update the HNMA website and develop an active social media platform. Support HNMA programming and align programs with HEAL. Participate in fund development activities, including grant writing and annual giving appeals.
