KCKCC Board of Trustees Appoints Dr. Jacqueline Vietti as Acting President

KCKCC Board of Trustees Appoints Dr. Jacqueline Vietti as Acting President. Kansas City Kansas Community College is one of the premier academic institutions in the State of Kansas and beyond. The KCKCC Board of Trustees remains committed to maintaining a positive and supportive educational environment for its students, faculty and community. Information was brought to the attention of the Board that merited review by an external party. The Board, in accordance with its fiduciary obligations to the College, placed Dr. Doris Givens on administrative leave with pay pending completion of this review.

The Board has appointed Dr. Jacqueline Vietti as the Acting President of the College effective immediately. Dr. Vietti’s appointment has the unanimous support of all Board members. She was selected for her extensive experience, having previously served as President of Butler Community College for 17 years and as interim President of Emporia State University for a six-month period.

Dr. Edward Kremer remains as the Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs. The Board appreciates the community’s understanding and support for the College, which remains the most progressive, forward-looking, forward thinking, forward moving, entrepreneurial and diverse community college in the entire state of Kansas and beyond.
