Newsletter Feature from Chuck - April 3, 2017
Good day. Welcome to the April edition of our newsletter. A time for renewal, jokes and humor, we begin with an issue that is no laughing matter. A picture being worth a thousand words, the picture on left represents what we want to prevent becoming a common occurrence. Someone or ones are, overnight, emptying newspaper bins on Minnesota and scattering the contents over several blocks. Our cleaning ambassadors removed the mess quickly, but it took time away from scheduled routes. Please keep an eye out for such behavior and report it to our ambassadors or the KCKPD. The ambassador number again is (913) 387-6331; the non-emergency KCKPD dispatch number is (913) 596-3000. Help us keep Downtown clean so that your business or organization is proud to welcome visitors and staff.
April heralds the return of Food Truck Friday! The popular effort occurs the 2nd Friday of each month and begins again April 14. You will find KCK based and favorite Indios Carbonsitos in the UG parking lot across from the Hilton Garden Inn between 11:30 and 1. We hope to see you there.
Safe, Clean, and More Attractive is what the SSMID program is about. SSMID and DTSKCK Board members will be planting new flowers that same Friday in the concrete planters along Minnesota. Several will gather at the Food Truck before the planting. Come enjoy great food and conversation; get to know some of those who help craft policy and direction for both organizations.
Great food, conversation, and budding relationships (yep, I couldn’t resist). Come celebrate the return of Spring. Come be part of a vibrant, welcoming Downtown. Come experience why we continue to declare that Downtown KCK is everyone’s Downtown.
