Wyandotte Historical Museum Hits the Road
The Wyandotte County Historical Museum is hosting a 2 night 3 day bus tour to the Wyandotte Nation PowWow. Only 55 seats are available. Seats are already being reserved. Itinerary Includes:
- Thursday, September 7, we’ll leave the Wyandotte County Historical Museum at 9 AM and arrive for a late morning/early afternoon tour of Fort Scott. Afterward, we will proceed to Miami, OK and check in to the Holiday Inn Express. That night we will have a buffet lunch at the Riverbend Casino and meet with Wyandotte Nation’s representatives. Then it’s time for a little gambling.
- Friday, September 8, we’ll travel to Wyandotte, OK and see the new Wyandotte Nation Cultural Center. We will return and travel down Route 66. In Miami we’ll take in the Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum, Ribbon Road - The Miami Original Nine-Foot Section of the Route 66 Roadbed, and then to Commerce, OK to the boyhood home of Mickey Mantle. Then, after a brief rest we will go to the opening of the Wyandotte Nation PowWow.
- Saturday, September 9, we will board for our trip back home, but not without stopping at the Big Brutus Museum and lunch at Chicken Mary’s.

COST: $275 per person
Hotel, museums and transportation all included. Lunch on Thursday and Friday and any alcohol or gambling expenses are up to the individual.
