Celebrate! Building a Resilient WyCo

  • Memorial Hall 600 North 7th Street Trafficway Kansas City, KS, 66101 United States (map)

From our friends at Healthy Communities Wyandotte:

Please join Alive & Thrive Wyandotte County for an end-of-year dinner to celebrate our accomplishments in 2018 and get ready for more work in 2019. The event will feature a full-course holiday dinner, music, and keynote speaker Raul Almazar, a trauma expert and consultant whose work in helping organizations and communities create trauma-informed cultures has been used by cities and states across the country.

Sponsored by Healthy Communities Wyandotte, Wyandotte Health Foundation, and the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, this event will also be your opportunity to learn more about Alive & Thrive's plans for 2019. In April, many of you attended a day-long event to help Alive & Thrive create a strategic plan to build a trauma-informed Wyandotte County. Since then, a smaller group of Alive & Thrive members have drawn from your ideas to work on a draft strategic plan. We will unveil the broad outlines of that plan during the December 12 event and provide ideas for how you can stay engaged in this important work of building a resilient and healthy Wyandotte County.

Bottom line: It's the end of the year, a great time to take stock of what we've done and where we want to go. Most important, it's a great time to have some fun doing it!
